Meet Rayyan, your teacher

Assalamu alaykum — I'm Rayyan

I learned Arabic by myself, the hard way. Years of studying, research, and travel — all so I could understand the speech of Allah. You don't have to walk that same road.

I've placed everything I learned into one easy programme, so you can reach the Qur'an far faster than I did. I'm not an institution, and I won't pretend to be "professional" in the cold sense. I'm a brother who will know your name, read your messages, and actually reply.

"I learned by myself the hard way — and you can too. But wouldn't you prefer all those years of studying, experience, research and travelling placed into one easy online programme?"

— Rayyan · your teacher at Yusr Arabic

The Programme

The Arabic Accountability Programme

You are not paying to learn Arabic. What you are paying for is a system that drives you to get your religion in order — for Arabic is the foundation of Islamic understanding. You want a programme that actually cares about how you spend your time outside class.

A teacher who's walked a harder path than yours

I tread a far harder Arabic road than the one I'm walking you through — so you don't have to.

First course

The Story of Ibrahim (عليه السلام)

Your first course is the Story of Ibrahim — 16 lessons. By lesson 11, you'll understand 61% of the Qur'an's vocabulary, just by learning two words a day. Yes, really.

I topped lesson 11 with five more lessons, so that by the end you'll have the strength and discipline to continue the rest of your journey without me, in shaa Allah.

61%
of the Qur'an's vocabularyunderstood by lesson 11 — at two words a day.

~28 words & 1 grammar principle

per two-week lesson — about twenty minutes a day.

How each lesson works

Each lesson covers two weeks: around 28 essential words and one essential grammar principle. Each week is one hour of class and about 2 hours 20 minutes of homework — roughly twenty minutes a day.

With an hour a day, you can complete the whole programme in about four months. And if twenty minutes a day is a stretch right now, we slow the pace to suit you — you move at your own pace.

The accountability

My accountability service has no limits. Want a five-minute chat each day to lift your spirits? I'm here. Want to write a morning routine? I need one too. Need help quitting social media? There are apps for that. Want to know what the scholars said about productivity and routine? We'll read their books together.

This isn't a student-teacher formality. We're brothers, looking to boost each other towards Jannah, in shaa Allah.

How I teach

How I teach

Practice over theory. Correction over comfort.

i

Built on practice

Real exercises, repetition, and correction. That's what makes Arabic stick.

Strict, caring correction

Every lesson. You'll always know what to fix, and why.

iii

Only what's useful

No time wasted on debates that don't bring you closer to the Qur'an.

iv

Made clear

The classical texts, re-presented in language you can actually use.

Don't take my word for it — watch a real lesson.

Is this programme for you?

If you still daydream in Taraweeh, you need support now.

If you've been Muslim for more than four years and still find yourself daydreaming in Taraweeh — standing before Allah, the Almighty King, without understanding His words — you need support now. Otherwise you may most likely carry this burden and shame into your grave.

This isn't only about missing out. According to the scholars, like Ibn Taymiyyah, you have abandoned a fundamental obligation — pondering and understanding the divine speech of Allah (azza wa jall).

And yet — you don't need me, or any teacher, if you are genuinely self-disciplined and consistent on your own. I learned by myself, the hard way, and you can too. But if you'd rather place all those years of study into one easy programme that keeps you accountable, this is for you.

"
My time with brother Rayyan has always been exceptional. He is very articulate — I left each lesson with a smile on my face, and he breaks everything down to the bare details. Truly, every lesson feels special. He has beautiful akhlaq and adab, and I would recommend lessons with him to any student, no matter what level you're at.

السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته. Just to share my experience of the Arabic lessons with ustadh Rayyan. الحمد لله, I have been studying with him since September, and I remember when I started I had broken Arabic. الحمد لله, I have nearly reached fluency — so we thank Allah, the Most High, first, and then our teacher, may Allah preserve him. The lessons consist of speaking, reading, grammar, analysis and listening, and I encourage anyone at any Arabic level to sign up. جزاك الله خيرا

Common Questions

Common questions

How does the accountability programme work?
My accountability service has no limits. If you'd like a daily five-minute chat to boost your mood or ask any questions, I am here. If you want to write a morning routine, I need one too — let's track each other's progress and consistency. If you need help quitting social media or cutting phone time, there are apps for that. And if you'd like to know what the scholars say about productivity, laziness, routines, and everything in between, we can read their books and follow their advice together. This isn't just a student-teacher formality — we're brothers looking to boost each other to attain Jannah, in shaa Allah.
What's included in the package?
A weekly 1-to-1 lesson on WhatsApp (£40/month) or group classes for extra support (£25/month); the full coursebook and exercise book as a PDF; and WhatsApp availability for Arabic questions throughout the week. Your first month is half price.
How long does everything take?
You can book a class to meet me today. Each lesson covers two weeks, but if you struggle to revise twenty minutes a day, we can go at your own pace — even three or four weeks per lesson. Each week is one hour of class and 2 hours 20 minutes of homework. Students who have an hour a day can complete the programme in just four months.
What if I miss a class?
You choose the times of your classes. If you or the teacher can't attend, we have a strict NO EXCUSES rule on both sides — both student and teacher are held accountable. Teacher absence gives you a free extra lesson that week; absent students are charged as usual.
What if I want to cancel?
You can cancel your next payment at any time to end your subscription. Once you book and pay for a class, that slot is yours — it can't be refunded. Instead, you can reschedule any class at any time, so long as you give two hours' notice. Leave it late and the class is charged as attended.
What if I fall behind on homework?
The programme is flexible — you move at your own pace. Falling behind on homework does not affect your subscription. Your teacher will check in with you regularly to keep you on track.
Do I need any Arabic background?
No. The programme starts from zero and assumes no prior knowledge.
How many students in a group class?
Four maximum. I want the classes to feel just like private ones — only easier on the pocket, and with a small community.
How do I sign up?
Book your first lesson on Calendly, or message me on WhatsApp.
